Historic Port Maria Court House

Port Maria
Saint Mary Parish
Description:

The Port Maria Court House is one of the few historical buildings that display details from Goergian architecture in Jamaica. Orginally built in 1821, the Court House is situated across from the Claude Stuart Park and the Port Maria Parish Church

Destroyed by fire in 1988, it was renovated in 2000 by the Jamaica National Heritage Trust and the Urban Development Corporation and is now known as the Port Maria Civic Centre. The renovation kept the structure  true to the Georgian style.
