One of the last historical buildings to be completed in the Spanish Town Square in 1819, the Spanish Town Court House is located opposite the old House of Assembly. 

The Court House was used for the sitting of the Circuit and Resident Magistrate's Courts, and for Petty Sessions. The upper floors were used for the Town Hall that hosted concerts, lectures and theatrical performances.
