The Embassy of Brazil in Kingston is responsible for bilateral relations between Brazil and Jamaica. With this aim, it performs the duties of representation and negotiation of Brazilian interests with the Government and private institutions of the Caribbean country. The Embassy regularly organizes commercial promotion activities and publicity of Brazil's image and culture in Jamaica. In addition, it coordinates important technical co-operation programmes provided by Brazil through the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) in the areas of agriculture, education, health and planning, among others.
In consular affairs, the Embassy in Kingston has jurisdiction over the territory of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
