The University Bookshop ‘provides for faculties, students and academia at large, a medium that fosters research, learning and the acquisition n of information for education and human resource development. The Bookshop is a critical medium for nurturing the Caribbean personality and therefore, preferentially allocates resources to the acquisition, display and dissemination of books, the entire electronic information spectrum and indeed any product that promotes the delivery of tertiary education.’

As a campus store, the Bookshop provides textbooks for use in all the academic faculties on the Mona and Western Jamaica campuses. These include: Medical Sciences and covers categories such as Medicine, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Anatomy, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, among others
Social Sciences that includes Management Studies, Political Science, Economics, Tourism, Sociology, Psychology and Social Work
Faculty of Law
Faculty of Humanities and Education, covering History and Archaeology, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Linguistics, Media and Communication. We also provide for the Faculty of Science and Technology whereby areas such as Botany, Forensic Science, Geology, Zoology and Computer Science are included.

Critical to our relevance is the need to stay current within the world of technology. We, therefore, provide a wide collection of computers, laptops, tablets and accessories to the Campus. The Bookshop carries a dynamic memorabilia line of UWI branded clothing, souvenirs and gift items. The store complements its academic offerings with a chocolate café, cosmetic counter and a ‘Grab and Go’ snack counter.

The ambience, enhanced by the cascading sound of a waterfall, complements the shopping experience of what has become ... your Campus Store.
